How to become a CPL
To qualify as a CPL candidate, an applicant must have relevant working
experience, qualifications and an active participation in the Logistics Profession.
The CPL calculator below provides a general guide to your own
relevant certification criteria. You will need at least 400 points
before being considered for certification by the Transport and Logistics Certification
Council.
When your certification criteria reaches the minimum 400 points in the calculator below, you will be able to click on the 'Continue' button and be able to submit your application for certification. The Transport and Logistics Certification Council is comprised of industry representitives and practitioners who have developed strict guidelines for assessing submissions.
Hence your actual points as assessed may differ from the calculator's score.

The Transport and Logistics Certification Council meets quarterly to assess applications. To assist the assessment of your application it is highly recommended that you submit supporting evidence that is relevant to the logistics profession. For example if you have a qualification in supply chain studies, the transcript should accompany your application.
Application fee: There is a $AU500 (GST included) application fee.
Successful applicants will be entitled to use the post nominal letters
CPL and will be awarded a Certificate to confirm their accreditation.
Unsuccessful candidates can re-submit applications following
re-evaluation of gaps in their qualifications and experience.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Once you have been certified as a CPL you are effectively committed to maintaining this professional standard by engaging in CPD activities that accrue at least 50 weighted hours per year. Your nominated industry association will assist with details of relevant CPD activities.
Professional Ethics
The Transport and Logistics Certification Council is also charged with maintaining
professional standards and will act on breaches of ethical practice in
accordance with disciplinary rules established.
